Our team at Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters is seeking a talented front end and visual asset designer to help us build, provide, and maintain our fleet of well crafted and expertly functioning websites and online applications.

Job Duties

  • Work closely with engineers, content writers and lead designer on a wide variety of projects ranging from visual asset creation to interface design
  • Design and iterate beautiful and functional online ready layouts
  • Work in the code base to solve minor problems and do site maintenance
  • Independently identify areas of improvement, develop innovative solutions, and defend those solutions using data, prototypes & presentations
  • Take ownership of projects from initial ideation to final implementation
  • Work in a rapidly changing, multi-project environment as part of a small, but wildly versatile team

Candidates Must:

  • Be comfortable working with team members from all levels and departments within our organization
  • Be conversationally fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and have an understanding of the fundamentals of digital design production
  • Adapt own ideas to fit stylistically with existing work
  • Be ready and willing to contribute to our creative process from day one


  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design preferred but not required.

Requirements and Experience

  • Must be a resident of Las Vegas
  • Excellent communication, and analytical skills, including an ability to present and defend design work clearly and persuasively
  • Must be able to travel on business from time to time via major air carrier, small plane, and/or helicopter
  • Generally familiar with modern web design principles sufficient to know what is possible and when to push the creative envelope
  • If not already, willing to become proficient and familiar with modern front-end frameworks & practices as well as mobile & desktop design patterns
  • Must be able and willing to work in a Microsoft Windows environment, and have a willingness to learn Linux if not already familiar with it
  • Conversationally fluent with Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • If not already, willingness and ability to become proficient with version control (e.g. SVN, Git) systems
  • ABOVE ALL: Must be willing and able to learn and adapt quickly, acquire new skills, and generally grow professionally

Bonus Points

  • Experience with wireframing applications such as Figma
  • Experience and familiarity with JSON, and Javascript in general
  • Experience and familiarity with Bootstrap Framework
